The Swiss company maku ag Kunstoffmaschinen and the owner-managed consulting company Hecht Solutions have recently sealed their sales partnership. Hecht Solutions is specialized in measurement technology for flatly produced materials and therefore ideally suited for the sale of the unique die lips and restriction bar adjustment system.

Michael Hecht comments pleased: “With the patented solution we close a gap in the field of flat film and sheet extrusion as well as generate real added value”. The maku-DieTool® can be directly put on an already consisting film and sheet die up to a width of ten meters. The solution is applicable with a thickness measurement system as well as without an additional measurement system. The functionality is based on an adjustment of the die lips and/or restriction bars, where the setscrew operates automatically. Thus, not only a maximum of precision is provided, but also real-time-settings of the material thickness are ensured. The maku-DieTool® is able to optimize the positioning of the die lip and of the restriction bar at the sheet die, with a travel of a maximum of 6000 µm completely autonomous.
